5 Reasons to join a club:
- It's fun. You are only in school a while, before your off into the world. There aren't very many opportunities after this to spend your lunch doing photography, programming, debating, cooking or fighting for human rights.
- It's good for UCAS and your CV. Everyone does exams. Everyone can say they are motivated and interested - but it's those who can back it up with examples that go far. Showing commitment to an extracurricular club shows that you have real passion.
- Develop skills. Have an interest in table tennis? Right here is a free, open opportunity to develop that. Same for art, science, languages and more.
- Your mental health. Doing things and keeping active provides a purpose. Why not get stuck in?
- Make new friends. Your classes are just a random jumble of people. These clubs have people who are just like you, and who share at least one common interest.
