CHARITIES

The aims of the charity group are to:

​

• raise awareness and promote fundraising and charity work within the school and local community

• promote a positive ethos within the school and local community

• give pupils the opportunity to take ownership for the planning and organisation of events.

 

The charity group is a group of teachers and pupils who work together to raise money for a wide range of local and global charities. Over the years we have participated in various fundraising activities with great success! We work alongside the senior ambassadors, pupil leadership team and parent council to plan a yearly calendar of events.

 

As a school we have decided to fundraise for the following charities every year:

​

• Children In Need

• Poppy Appeal

• Night Before Christmas Campaign

 

In addition, we also help to promote internal fundraising for events such as:

​

• school prom

• merit system reward days

​

We promote our events and fundraising through a variety of methods including posters in school, texts home and social media platforms - so keep an eye out.
